Environmental Protection Agency Cleaning Up In Viburnum

(Viburnum) The Environmental Protection Agency is continuing with work this summer, cleaning up the Viburnum Superfund Site by removing lead contaminated soil and then replacing it with new sod.

For the past month or so, the E.P.A. has shifted it’s work to the campus of the Iron County C-4 School District in Viburnum.

Here’s school Superintendent Adam Portell.

Portell describes those locations they found.

Registration for Viburnum students can be done on the district’s website. Tuesday was the first day students could begin registering.

The first day of school in Viburnum is Tuesday, August 24th.
