(Farmington) Even though some areas of southeast Missouri received some rain during the past week, the drought continues to get worse.
According to the latest Drought Monitor Map released Thursday by the U.S.D.A., nearly all of St. Francois and Ste. Genevieve counties are now experiencing extreme drought conditions.
Extreme drought conditions also reach into the western side of Perry County.
Severe drought conditions are currently in Crawford, Washington, most of Jefferson, the northern two-thirds of Madison, northern Iron and the northern sliver of Dent County.
Moderate drought conditions are in the rest of the Regional Radio listening area.
