(High Ridge) Faculty members in the Northwest School District are attempting to make each day as normal as possible via alternative instruction plans, or AIP.

According to Northwest schools Superintendent Dr. Desi Kirchhofer, teachers and administrators have been reaching out to parents and students on wellness checks.

Students in grades 3-12 have Chromebooks available for continued online instruction while on campus classes remain cancelled through later this month.

Dr. Kirchhofer adds they also have made Chromebooks available to PreK through 2nd grade students for the duration of the school closure.

The Northwest School District, along with the rest of public schools in Jefferson County have tentatively scheduled classes to return back on school grounds on Monday, April 27.
