(Ste. Genevieve) The expectations for Valle Catholic football are always high, and they are certain to remain that way as long as Chase Fallert is leading the charge under center.

The sophomore quarterback showed out in his first full season as the starter for the Warriors and was named to the Regional Radio Football Dream Team.

Fallert says he appreciates the selection.

This season Fallert led Valle Catholic to a 9-1 record and threw for 2039 yards and 29 touchdowns and rushed for 350 yards and eight touchdowns.

While this was his first year as the full-time starter under center, he also had the opportunity to start a handful of games last year alongside the Class 1 state championship team.

In four starts last year, Fallert led the team to a 4-0 record and threw for over 900 yards and 16 touchdowns in addition to 350 yards and five touchdowns on the ground.

He says getting that experience last year and learning under standout quarterback Chase Dunlap helped him to be ready for this season.

Valle Catholic football is known for having a winning tradition, an excellent coaching staff, and skill across the field.

Fallert says that all boils down to one big thing for him – trust.

This season Fallert earned 1st Team All-Conference and All-District and was also named 3rd Team All-State.
