Farmer receives Public Administrator of the Year award

(Hillsboro) Current Jefferson County Public Administrator Steve Farmer recently received the Public Administrator of the Year award from the Missouri Public Administrators Association. Farmer, who is retiring next month, says it’s a great honor, and at the time he was awarded, the association was not aware of his pending retirement, which means so much more.

Farmer has been the Jefferson County Administrator since 2012, and his final day on the job will be May 22nd. The application deadline to find his replacement for the remainder of his term has come and gone. Jefferson County Executive Dennis Gannon will select his replacement in the next few weeks.
