Farmington and North County Face Off on the Diamond Tonight on J98

(Bonne Terre, Mo.) The Farmington Knights and North County Raiders have scheduled a pair of games for both their baseball and girls soccer teams against one another this week.

We’ll broadcast the first of those match-ups tomorrow on regional radio with the baseball game on J-98 and girls soccer game on AM 800 KREI.

After COVID-19 knocked out the spring seasons for all athletes, MSHSAA modified its guidelines to allow high schools to be able to play some summer time games with their graduating seniors.

Farmington baseball has played two such games with a win over St. Paul and a loss to Central. Assistant coach Josh Hoehn says it’s the best of a bad situation…

While a number of players on both sides are playing for club teams this summer, Hoehn says it’s a little different when you are playing for your school against a rival…

North County has won seven games in a row in this series, but takes the field for the first time this summer. Despite not having a lot of time in action, head coach Dan Harris says he’s confident in his offense.

North County will honor the 2020 seniors tomorrow with a senior night. Harris says it’s to help bring closure to this group.

We’ll be on the air with both games today from North County High School. It’s a 4:45 Flieg’s Equipment pregame show for baseball on J-98 and girls soccer on AM 800 KREI.
