Farmington at St. Mary’s for Quarterfinal Football on KREI

We take you back to medieval times Friday night on AM 800 KREI as the Knights do battle against the Dragons. And just as in the old time fables the Dragons will attack from the air with the Knights doing most of their advancing on the ground. Farmington heads into St. Louis  for the class four quarterfinal at St. Mary’s. 92% of the Farmington’s yards gained this year have been through its rushing attack while St. Mary’s gains almost two thirds of its yards with the pass. Coach Kruppe says they’ll have to be effective in coverage in addition to pressuring the quarterback…

St. Mary’s features highly regarded wideout Kevin Coleman who has over 1300 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns, while Farmington counters with over 1200 yards rushing from fullback Braden Botkin and over 11 yards per carry from Royce Harris.
St. Mary’s coach Corey Bethany says they’ve seen an attack similar to Farmington’s, but maybe not as good…

The Knights beat Cape by 10 in their district title game, while St. Mary’s scored in the final moments to beat McCluer 18-14. Coach Bethany doesn’t want his guys to be satisfied…

Both teams come into the matchup at 10-2.
