Farmington Baseball Downs Crosstown Rival in Senior Night Victory

(Farmington, Mo.) The St. Paul Giants were defeated by the Farmington Knights in baseball on KREI tonight 8-1 on senior night at Wilson Rozier Park. The Knights came out strong in the bottom of the first inning with senior Grant Higginbotham putting a charge into a ball.

The Knights held a steady lead of 3-1 heading into the bottom of the sixth when Blaine Worley opened the game wide open with one swing of the bat.

Farmington would go on to win 8-1 over the Giants after a massive outing on the mound by senior Gage Johnson who threw a complete game with four strikeouts and was named our Applebee’s of Farmington Player of the Game. Assistant coach of the Knights Josh Hoehn says now these seniors can finally lay the 2020 season to rest.

Farmington had 11 seniors on the squad this year while St. Paul had 7. Six seniors from Farmington will play baseball in college while four from St. Paul will go on to play at the next level.
