A long-time Farmington businessman and civic leader has died. Jim Snavely was involved in many projects around Farmington including Country Days and the Farmington Industrial Park. Stuart “Mit” Landrum of Farmington remembers working with Snavely on those projects in the late 70’s and early 80’s.

St. Francois County Clerk and former Chamber President Kevin Engler has similar memories.

Landrum says Snavely was active in many organizations.

Jim Snavely was also the Shelter Insurance agent in Farmington for many years. He died yesterday (Thursday) at the age of 80. Funeral arrangements are pending at this time.
