Farmington Changing Emergency Alert System Soon

(Farmington) The City of Farmington has decided to change systems they use to alert residents about severe weather and other types of emergency situations.

Tim Porter is the Emergency Management Director for the City of Farmington.

He says “Code Red” will be going away soon.

Porter says notifications about other emergency-type situations can also be issued through “Rave”.

“Code Red” will no longer be functional for Farmington starting October 1st.

Porter encourages everyone in Farmington and St. Francois County to sign up for “Rave” now if you haven’t already done so.

He says the easiest way to sign up for “Rave” is to google “St. Francois County Rave Sign Up”.
