Farmington City Council Met Monday Night

(Farmington) The Farmington City Council voted Monday night to approve the purchase of a new fire truck for the city. Farmington City Administrator Greg Beavers says it’s getting more and more difficult to make these types of purchases.

Also at Monday night’s meeting, the council passed a resolution for a street festival agreement for Blues, Brews and Barbecue. A contract with Townsend Tree Service for tree and shrub trimming and removal was approved. The council also heard a report from Fire Chief Todd Mecey about fire statistics and fire calls from 2022. Beavers says it was another busy year for the department. Hear our interview with Beavers below.
