Farmington City Council Met Thursday Night

(Farmington) The Farmington City Council got an update Thursday night on the November election and the two tax increase issues the City has placed on the ballot. City Administrator Greg Beavers says the half cent sales tax proposal for public safety will allow them to keep Farmington residents safe.

The other issue on the ballot involves the Way Fair Tax. Also at Thursday night’s meeting, the Farmington council passed a resolution dealing with an Architectural Preservation Grant agreement with Hurts Properties. An agreement with Tyler Technologies concerning software was approved. An ordinance dealing with annexation of property off of Old Fredericktown Road was also given first round approval.
