Farmington City Council Met

(Farmington) The Farmington City Council voted Monday night to officially put two tax issues on the November election ballot. One is for the Wayfair Tax and the other us for the public safety department to help with the fire and police departments. We asked Farmington City Administrator Greg Beavers how much money these taxes will raise.

Those laws will apparently be changing later this month. The other tax should bring in quite a bit of money.

If approved, Beavers says they can start collecting on those taxes next June. Also at the Farmington City Council meeting, the council approved the new tax rate for the next fiscal year. The new budget for Farmington needs to be approved by October 1st.  Hear more with Beavers below.
