Farmington Declares Civil Emergency

(Farmington) Farmington Mayor Larry Forsythe issued a proclamation Tuesday of civil emergency. The declaration allows certain actions to be taken by the city and its law enforcement to safeguard the public, such as; issue a reduction of utilities, close certain businesses or even issue a curfew. While the civil emergency gives the mayor, and by extension the city government, a wide range of powers, Beavers doesn’t anticipate having to utilize them…
