Farmington Donates House To CASA Of The Parkland

(Farmington) The City of Farmington has donated a house on ‘A’ Street to CASA of the Parkland, a group that advocates for children in foster care. CASA Director Joanna Watts says they plan to turn the home into office space and a clubhouse.

In addition to giving foster children a place to go to, Watts says it will also give adults going through parenting classes a chance to utilize some of the skills they are learning.

CASA of the Parkland is coming off a major fundraiser over the weekend where they held a murder mystery dinner that helped raise $13,000. Watts says they hope to be able to move into their new Farmington home sometime in October.
