Farmington faces Festus in boys’ hoops showdown on J98

(Festus) Two of the top boys’ basketball teams in the Parkland over the last 3 years meet up Tuesday on J98 when the Festus Tigers host the Farmington Knights.

Farmington has not necessarily been dominant this season, compared to putting up at least 17 wins each of the last 4 years.

But seniors JP Ruble and Bracey Blanton have lead the Knights to a 9-6 record.

Head coach Garrett Callahan says his team has shown at times that they can be elite on offense.

Despite a loss in the last week, Festus has been one of the best teams in Jefferson County this season.

Junior point guard Arhmad Branch and senior wing Cole Rickermann have lead the Tigers to 12-4.

Head coach Jason Therell says this particular version of the team is seeking a signature win over an opponent they haven’t figured out of late.

The Knights have won the last 3 meetings with the Tigers by at least 12 points.

Farmington visits Festus Tuesday evening on J98.

Coverage begins with the Flieg’s Equipment Pregame Show at 6:45.
