Farmington Football to Lean on Experienced Youth
The Farmington Knights football team pulled off a 4-7 record last season en route to a second round playoff loss to Hillsboro. Head Coach Eric Kruppe says last year’s team was young, and that might be an advantage going into this season.

Part of that advantage is the amount of returners. Farmington lost only four seniors after last season. Junior running back Kaesen McClain will return for his third season as the starter, and four of the guys blocking for him are returning starters.

The Knights are undergoing an offensive scheme change. In previous seasons, Farmington ran an old-school “wishbone” style offense that was built around the read option. This year, they plan to execute similar concepts out of some new formations.

A lot of the summer was focused on working out the tweaks to the system. The Knights made sure to prioritize the other phases of their game.

Coach Kruppe guarantees the action on the field will be exciting this season.

The Knights face the rival North County on Friday night.
