(Farmington) The Farmington student who made the National Spelling Bee, Pooja Dayaratna, had a good run but she is now out of the competition.

Just one out four Missouri teenagers advanced to the national semifinals.

14-year-old Colette Giezentanner of Webster Groves spelled the word fatidic correctly today to move on.

Giezentanner will compete in the virtual semifinals on Sunday, June 27th.

Two other Missouri teens in today’s quarterfinals did not advance, a student from Columbia and a student from Park Hill, Missouri.
