(Jackson, Mo.) The Farmington Knights girls basketball team heads out on the road this evening to take on the Jackson Indians.

The two schools have met 10 times since 2009 with Jackson winning seven of those games but Farmington winning the last two.

The Knights are 2-1 coming into today’s game and head coach Rusty Sancegraw says they have a young group that has shown they’re going to play with a lot of effort this year.

Even though Farmington has gotten the better of the Indians in recent years, Sancegraw says Jackson is an elite program who presents a great challenge.

Jackson enters the game 3-1 on the season and head coach Tyler Abernathy says he’s really liked what he’s seen from his team through four games.

In an early season matchup such as this, Abernathy says his team will need to execute the fundamentals in order to come out with a win.

Coverage of the girls basketball game between Farmington and Jackson will begin tonight at 7:15 on AM 800 KREI with tipoff scheduled for 7:30.
