Farmington Hosts 2nd Shot Mass Clinic

(Farmington) A mass Covid-19 vaccination clinic for St. Francois County residents runs today at the Farmington Civic Center, providing the second dose of the vaccine. Linda Ragsdale is the director of the St. Francois County Health Department. She says this is helping turn the corner on COVID-19.

Ragsdale reminds us the fight isn’t over.

Physician Dr. Jamesy Smith is helping administer the vaccine .

The first event, held February 4th, was the largest mass vaccination clinic in the state at the time. Dr. Smith says this area should serve as an example to the rest of the state.

And Dr. Smith says technology developed to create this vaccine allows for great flexibility.

Dr. Smith anticipates more mass vaccination clinics for St. Francois County as more phases open up.
