(FARMINGTON) – Two St. Francois County rivals will meet up in the Class 3 District 1 boys soccer tournament as the Farmington Knights host the North County Raiders in the district semifinals. It has been a struggle most of the season for Farmington, going just 2-12 and coming in with a three-game losing streak. However, Knights coach Addae Rique said his young team is showing some development.

13-7 North County earned a 3-2 double-overtime victory over Farmington back on Sept. 17. They come into the tournament winning seven of their last eight games. Raiders coach Rob O’Keefe said their strength has been up top.

The winner between North County and Farmington will take on either Cape Central or Sikeston in the championship on Wednesday. Coverage begins at 6:45 p.m. Monday on AM-800 KREI.
