Farmington June Tax Report Comes Back Positive

The June sales tax report for the City of Farmington has been released and records show it was another positive month. Farmington City Administrator Greg Beavers says the City has been seeing increases in revenue for a number of reasons.

The positive numbers are not a trend because Farmington has been losing money in other departments.

Beavers also says Farmington incurred around 2-point-4 million dollars worth of charges to the city’s electric department after the extreme cold weather back in February. He says changes to wholesale energy pricing, without increasing retail rates, will take care of that.
