Farmington Looking At Airport Work

(Farmington) The City of Farmington is planning on doing a lot of work this fall at the airport. City Administrator Greg Beavers says they’ve awarded a contract for the complete relighting of the airport.

Beavers says they are also trying to buy some additional property near the Farmington Airport.

The ultimate goal is to extend the runway at the airport in Farmington from 4,200 feet to 5,000 feet. That’ll allow for larger aircraft to land and make it safer for some of the existing aircraft when it comes to take off’s and landings.
