Farmington Looking For First Win Vs. Jackson Since 2011

Friday on KREI, the 1-1 Farmington Knights begin conference play as they hit the road to face perennial SEMO North and Class 5 powerhouse Jackson Indians. It’s been a down year of sorts for Jackson as it’s the first time since 2015 that the Indians have started 0-2. Farmington Head Coach Erik Kruppe says that even though Jackson has struggled out of the gates, they’re a team that the Knights shouldn’t take lightly.

Farmington is led by stud sophomore rusher Kaeson McClain. In their first two games, McClain tallied 355 yards and 4 touchdowns and should get a heavy workload against the Indians Friday. Coach Kruppe says the thing that makes McClain a dynamic fullback is his speed.

The Knights have lost 11-straight to Jackson with an average margin of victory of 35.7 points for the Indians. Coach Kruppe says the key for Friday is not letting Jackson’s physical attributes and history of success intimidate his guys.

You can hear this SEMO North matchup on AM-800 KREI or stream it online at MyMoInfo.com beginning at 6 o’clock with the Fliegs Equipment Pregame Show.
