Farmington Man Arrested for Child Pornography

(Farmington) A man from Farmington was taken into custody Wednesday on child pornography charges in St. Francois County.

An arrest report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says 60-year-old Mark A. Chaplin was taken to the county jail in Farmington.

Chaplin faces two counts of promoting child pornography and four counts of possession of child porn.

Chaplin awaits his first day in court.

Sources say Chaplin was a former sergeant at one of our local prisons.
