Farmington Man Arrested For Possession of Child Porn

(Farmington) A man from St. Francois County has been arrested on child porn charges.

A news release from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says an investigation conducted by the patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control’s Digital Forensics Investigative Unit with the assistance of the Farmington Police Department, led to a search warrant to be executed on March 8th at the residence of 23-year-old William F. Howell on Hilltop Street in Farmington.

As a result of their search, investigators seized electronic devices containing files of child pornography.

On Tuesday of this week, the St. Francois County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office formally charged Howell with three counts of possession of child pornography.

Howell is being held at the St. Francois County Jail with a bond of $100,000.

Howell will be arraigned on Thursday, May 11th.

He will then have a counsel status hearing on May 18th at the courthouse in Farmington.
