Farmington Man Arrested on Child Porn Charges

(Farmington) The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control has arrested a Farmington man after an investigation was conducted by members of the Division of Drug and Crime Control’s Digital Forensics Investigative Unit.

A news release says investigators executed a search warrant on Thursday the 5th at the residence of 22-year-old Jacob Ryan Sutton Trails West Apartments on Westmount Drive in Farmington.

During the search, police seized child pornography and electronic devices.

Sutton was arrested and taken to the St. Francois County Jail. He faces two felonies…promotion of child porn and possession of child porn. Sutton has already been released from jail after posting a 50-thousand dollar bond.

The bond agreement says Sutton must appear on all of his court dates, he is not allowed to have any controlled substances, he must make his bond supervisor aware of any prescription drugs he may be taking, Sutton is not allowed to have contact with any minor and he’s not allowed at any school, park, daycare or playground.

Sutton’s initial court appearance in St. Francois County is set for February 2nd.

The Division of Drug and Crime Control encourages internet users to report anyone who attempts to engage in unwanted, inappropriate or sexualised communications with children.
