(FARMINGTON) – Construction is expected to begin soon for a crosswalk project for Karsch Boulevard in Farmington. During Monday night’s meeting, the city council approved the city’s application to the Missouri Department of Transportation for the project along Walton Drive. City administrator Greg Beavers said they hope to begin construction at the start of 2020.

Beavers said they plan for this crosswalk to be part of a larger network of walking paths around that busy area of town.

Also at the meeting, it was announced that the city will outsource the printing and mailing of utility bills to Data Dash in Farmington. The city council also approved a recurring agreement with the Missouri Department of Conservation to provide more fish for the city’s lakes.
