(HILLSBORO, Mo.) – Former Farmington soccer player Jackson Schrum is coming off an exciting freshman campaign for the Jefferson College Vikings.

He had the opportunity to play in 14 games and start in 12 for a team that went 11-5 last fall.

Schrum says he was happy to receive so much playing time early on.

Schrum, a defensive midfielder, tells us how he fit into the scheme for the Vikings in his freshman year.

And Schrum tells us that his favorite part of playing for the Farmington Knights in high school was his head coach, Addae Rique.

Rique was also instrumental in Schrum’s recruiting process with Jefferson College.

Schrum has high hopes for the Vikings this upcoming fall with a roster returning many of its starters from a year ago.
