Farmington Teenager Killed in Madison County Crash

(Fredericktown) A teenager from Farmington is dead and another person injured after a two vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Madison County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 19-year-old Arie Van Zee lost his life when the Honda Civic he was driving crossed the centerline and struck a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck head-on that was driven by 23-year-old Trevor Vance of Fredericktown.
Vance received moderate injuries and was flown to Mercy South in Crystal City for treatment.
Van Zee was pronounced dead at the scene by Madison County Coroner Collin Follis.
The accident happened on Highway 72, a mile and a half east of Fredericktown.
This was the 31st traffic fatality for Troop ‘E’ of the highway patrol which encompasses eleven counties including Madison, Iron, Wayne and Bollinger counties.
