Farmington Travels To Fredericktown Friday For Boy-Girl Doubleheader On KREI

(FREDERICKTOWN, Mo.) – It’s a boy-girl doubleheader Friday on KREI as the Farmington Knights and the hosting Fredericktown Blackcats square off on the hardwood in MAAA Large School Division action.

The boys will go first with Fredericktown hoping to defend homecourt.

Blackcats head coach Joaby Sikes plans to key in on junior Brant Gray and sophomore Isaiah Robinson, the top players for Farmington.

While Fredericktown is looking to get to 1-1 in conference play, the Knights are hoping for a 2-0 start.

It was a 63-54 win for Farmington in this same matchup in the Central Christmas Tournament, but their coach Terry Noble says Fredericktown brings a lot to the table.

Farmington has an overall record of 8-6 while Fredericktown is 7-7.

It’s a similar story on the girls side as far as the MAAA standings are concerned, with the Knights entering 1-0 and the Blackcats 0-1.

Farmington coach Rusty Sancegraw says this matchup with Fredericktown won’t be easy.

While Farmington is on the younger side, they have a lot of depth on the roster.

Blackcats head coach Scott Davis knows just that.

To this point, Farmington is 7-6 overall while Fredericktown is 3-11.
