Farmington Wrestler Presley Johnson on Regional Radio Dream Deam

(Farmington) The area coaches voted Farmington’s Presley Johnson onto the Regional Radio Dream Team after his outstanding season on the wrestling mats. Johnson went 39-4 on the season and finished in 3rd place at the Class 3 State Tournament. He puts a lot of pressure on himself as he says he fell short of his goal.

Presley has been wrestling since he was eight years old, but he says in junior high he realized this was the sport for him.

Johnson finished first in conference and district and also at the Farmington, Nixa and Willard tournaments. He says the one at Willard stands out the most.

We asked Johnson what he must do to achieve his goal and win the state championship.

And in case you were wondering….yes, he is named after the king.

Johnson wrestled at 120 pounds this year as a sophomore. He says he’ll probably compete at 126 next year.
