Farmington’s Downs Wins Third-Straight Coach Of The Year Recognition

(FARMINGTON) – Brad Downs of the Farmington Knights golf team has been selected by area coaches as the Regional Radio Dream Team Golf Coach of the Year.
Downs led the Knights to a conference tournament title and a second-place finish in the district tournament, while also having three golfers – Dylan Wiles, Jonah Burgess and Alden Klug – qualify for the state tournament.
Downs said one of his favorite moments from this season was Wiles winning the sectional tournament.
With Burgess and Klug coming back for their junior seasons along with other returners, Downs said his team can reach even higher next year.
Downs has now been named Coach of the Year three straight seasons and four times in the last five years.
