Farmington’s Elly Robbins named Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week

(Farmington) Farmington Knights freshman Elly Robbins is the Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week.

Robbins was excellent in helping the number-two-ranked team in Class 4 softball win all 6 of their games last week.

Robbins finished with a .563 batting average, 2 doubles, a triple, a home run and 14 runs batted at the plate.

But Robbins was arguably better as a pitcher, where she went 4-0 with a 1.84 earned-run average.

Knights head coach Bryan Wallen says the rookie is proving she can be used all over the field.

Elly and older sister Abby have lead Farmington to a 22-6 record.

As Athlete of the Week, Robbins receives a T-shirt, a certificate and a coupon for a free entree at Applebee’s in Farmington.
