Fatal 2-Alarm Apartment Fire in High Ridge

(High Ridge) One person was killed in a 2nd-Alarm Apartment Fire in High Ridge on Saturday.

Fire agencies across northern Jefferson County responded to the 1800 block of Gravois Road around 4:50pm in reference to a fire in an apartment complex.

High Ridge Fire Protection District Captain John Barton describes the scene when firefighters arrived.

The identity of the victim has not been released.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Missouri State Fire Marshall’s Office and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Arson Investigation Team.

High Ridge Fire was assisted by Eureka, Fenton, Mehlville, Saline Valley and Valley Park Fire Protection Districts.
