Fatal Vehicle Accident in Dent County

(Salem) A man from Licking is dead after a fatal traffic accident over the weekend in Dent County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident took place Friday night on double ‘H’ Highway, about a mile and a half south of Salem when a Cadillac Escalade driven by 57-year-old Robert L. Clark ran off the road and struck a culvert and a tree.

Clark was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dent County coroner.

That is the 20th fatality of the year for Troop I of the patrol which includes Dent and Crawford counties, plus four other counties to the west of those two counties.
