(Festus) Junior forward Brady DeGeare dominated the Jefferson Blue Jays with 37 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Crystal City Hornets to a 60-53 win on the road tonight on KJFF.
DeGeare and Jefferson sophomore guard Easton Null went at it all night as Null finished with 29 points in a losing effort. Both teams battled back and forth throughout the first half before the Blue Jays took a 33-28 lead into the break.
The third quarter was a bit lackluster on both ends as the Hornets outscored Jefferson 7-2 to tie things up at 35. Crystal City’s defense stifled the Blue Jays scoring attack limiting them to just two free throws as Jefferson field to record a field goal in the third quarter.
It wasn’t until the fourth quarter that DeGeare and Crystal City put the icing on the cake with this late three from DeGeare…
