(Regional Radio) The Northwest Lions will welcome in the Fox Warriors to their building in a Suburban West Conference basketball double-header tonight on KJFF in both girls and boys varsity hoops.

The girls will kick off the night as the 1-17 Lions see the 9-10 Warriors come into their building. Fox has won three out of their last five games including a most recent win against Lindbergh.

The Lions are having a tough season thus far and are currently in the midst of a ten game losing streak. Fox is led by senior Izze Farrell who is averaging 17.3 points per game while leading the defensive effort with 3.6 steals a game.

Northwest has been led by guard Megan Fortner who is averaging 10.5 points per game while grabbing 5.7 rebounds. She has also recorded 69 steals on the year defensively.

Boys basketball follows with tip-off scheduled directly after as the Warriors enter the contest with a 6-11 record. The Lions are now 3-13 on the year and are suffering through a six game losing streak at the moment.

Fox has a balanced scoring attack with various players contributing on a nightly basis. Junior Dalton Evans leads the way with 13.1 points per game while the Warriors have four others that average over five points a contest.

Senior Luke Thorburg leads the Northwest charge averaging a double-double a night with 14.9 ppg and 10.6 rebounds. He also averages more than three blocked shots on the defensive end.
