Feral Hog Problem Better at Viburnum Golf Course

(Viburnum) For the past couple years, the Viburnum Golf Course has been hit hard by feral hogs rooting up parts of the course.

Lance Mayfield is the golf course manager.

The public course is located just outside of Viburnum off ‘Y’ highway.

He says hog damage on the course has been bad but it could be worse.

And Mayfield says a state agency has actually helped out recently.

The Viburnum area, in just about every direction from town, has seen some form of feral hog damage.

Some of that damage has hit farms, people’s yards and other locations.
