Festus area recently hit by car clotters

(Festus) The Festus area was targeted once again with a rash of cases of vehicles either being broken into or stealing from unlocked vehicles. Festus Police Chief Tim Lewis says the area was hit hard the weekend of July 31st.

Chief Lewis says this continues to be an ongoing problem all over the area.

Chief Lewis wants to remind residents to keep their vehicles locked, and keep the valuables left in vehicles to be out of sight.
