Festus at Farmington Boys on J-98

(Farmington) Farmington and Festus step outside of conference play with a boys matchup at Black Knight Fieldhouse on J-98. It’s been a back and forth matchup over the last few seasons with the two teams splitting six games since 2019. Both teams are led by their point guards. For Festus it’s senior Arhmad Branch at 21 points per game and 4.7 assists. Farmington coach Garrett Callahan says Branch is the focal point.

(7-10) Farmington has sophomore Logan Schaupert out front. He scores 12 a game with 4.8 assists, but has topped the 20 point mark several times, including Friday against North County. Schaupert caught fire for 18 in the second half of that one.

Festus may quietly be one of the best teams in the area. The Tigers are 14-3. They have beaten two of the three teams they lost to and the other was a one point decision. Coach Jason Therrell says they are valuing possession of the ball…

Therrell says even though Farmington has a losing record they show flashes of great play…

They have moved up the game time. We’ll broadcast the Festus at Farmington boys game on J-98 and mymoinfo.com Tuesday with a 6:15 Fliegs Equipment Pregame Show.
