Festus city close to closing sewage lagoon

(Festus) The City of Festus is getting closer to doing away with the sewage lagoon located near West City Park. The city completed all the prep work in terms of running the new sewer lines across town which started last year. City Administrator Greg Camp says they are close.

Camp says once the final connections are made, draining the lagoon for good will be next, and some dry warm weather will help.

The project which costs nearly three-million dollars began almost one year ago.
