Festus City Council races

(Festus) There are two contested races on tomorrow’s (Tuesday) election ballot for city council seats in Festus. However, in reality, there is only one race. Festus City Administrator Greg Camp says the race in Ward 2, features one candidate that is not eligible.

Brian Wehner is the incumbent, however, if Tim Mongomery receives the most votes…..because it was too late to remove his name from the ballot, Mayor Sam Richards will have to make an appointment.

The other contested race for Festus City Council is in Ward 3 as incumbent Marcus Shepherd is opposed by former councilman Bobby Venz.
