Festus city employee exposed to Covid-19

(Festus) All city governments have taken precautions to keep their employees safe during the pandemic, with staggered shifts and closing facilities to the public. However, anyone can certainly contract Covid-19 in other places just with everyday life. Festus City Administrator Greg Camp says they just found out one of their employees was exposed.

Camp didn’t want to release what department the Festus employee works for. Camp says they will await the results of the test and go from there.

Festus did reopen their facilities to the public this week. Camp says they do have plexiglass to separate the public from the workers at city hall and the police station.

The Festus Public Library will open with restrictions on Monday.
