Festus/Crystal City Great Streets meetings next week

(Festus, Crystal City) There will be several upcoming public events for residents to meet with and voice their concerns for the Great Streets Initiative within the East-West Gateway Council of Governments. The project M2M, which stands for Main to Mississippi is set up to plan for improvements along Festus Main Street, Bailey Road, and Mississippi Avenue in Festus and Crystal City. Festus City Administrator Greg Camp says this group has helped with several other projects all over the country.

Camp says public input is very important for these upcoming gatherings.

The Design Studio Schedule for these public meetings will be next Tuesday, February 1st from 4 pm until 7 pm with a focus on Festus Main Street, on Wednesday, February 2nd from 11 am until 1 pm also with a focus on Festus Main, and on Thursday, February 3rd from 4 pm until 7 pm with the focus on both Festus Main Street and Bailey Road. All of the gatherings will be held at First Baptist Church on Truman Boulevard. There will be three additional meetings the week of February 15th for the remaining areas of the project.
