Festus Downs Windsor Behind Southpaw Schirmer 6-1
(FESTUS)    The Festus Tigers put together two runs on four hits in the third inning to take a 3-1 lead against the Windsor Owls and they went on to win 6-1 at home yesterday (Thursday).  The game was broadcast on KJFF 1400 AM and mymoinfo.com.
The Winning pitcher for the Tigers was junior southpaw Mason Schirmer. Schirmer went the full seven innings, giving up three hits, he walked two, hit a batter, struckout ten while the lone Windsor run scored on an error.
The Tigers were led at the plate by Brady Nolen who had two hits, one walk and he score three runs.
The Owls lone run was scored after a walk, a hit batter and a throwing error.
Tigers coach Jeff Montgomery says lefthander Mason Schirmer was able to steer out of a couple tough jams.

Windsor head coach Randy Green says the Owls struggled with the bats.

The Owls slip to (8-6) while Festus improves to (11-3).
