The Festus Tigers will look to extend their season into next week as they travel to play the West Plains Zizzers in the Class 4, District 1 championship game.

Festus enters the contest with a record of 7-4, much improved from their 4-6 output last year that ended in a first round district loss. Head coach Russ Schmidt has made it a priority to change the culture this season.

Festus comes into the matchup with the Zizzers on a high, as their upset victory over Farmington last week was one of the best performances of the season, per Schmidt.

West Plains enters the high stakes affair with a spotless record of 11-0, having not given up a single point so far in district play while scoring 104 points combined in the two games. Schmidt knows it will not be easy.
