Festus Fire Department Staffing in Good Shape

(Festus) The Festus Fire Department got a big boost this year adding three new full time firefighters to its staff.

The boost in funding was made possible by the passage of Proposition Public Safety last August.

Also with the passage the department was able to hire a full time fire chief.

Festus fire Chief Kevin Cremer says the need for additional crew members is there as the calls for service in the city continues to grow each year.

According to Chief Cremer they have plenty of room at the fire house to welcome the additional firefighters.

Proposition Public Safety in Festus not only aided funding for the fire department but police department and dispatching services within the city as well.
