Festus Fire Department was busy in 2021

(Festus) The Festus Fire Department had a very busy 2021 when it comes to calls for service. Travis Wood was recently named the new Fire Chief after the previous chief Kevin Cremer passed away from complications with Covid-19 at the end of January. Wood says they had a record number this past year.

Wood says things have been busy this year as well.

Wood says if the first two months are any indication, they are on a base to easily eclipse 17-hundred calls in 2022.
