Festus Girls Beat Herculaneum In Close Battle 59-53
(HERCULANEUM)    The Festus Lady Tigers used 15 points from Alyzah Skaggs and 11 more from Olivia Madden on their way to a 59-53 win last (Monday) night at Herculaneum.  The game was broadcast on KJFF and mymoinfo.com.  Festus had a one point lead going into the fourth quarter and Herculaneum took a lead for a short time before running out of gas.  Herculaneum was led in scoring by Jillian Jarvis who had 14 points.  The Lady Tigers improve to 7-3 while Herculaneum slips to (4-4).
Festus had a one point lead with 2:09 left in the game when a layup by Alyza Skaggs help expand the lead from there.  The drive to the basket by Skaggs turned out to be our Festus Steak and Shake “Shake ’em up” Play of the Game.

Up next for Herculaneum, they host Ste. Genevieve tomorrow (Wednesday) night.  Meanwhile, Festus has the rest of the week off.  The Lady Tigers are
the #5 seed in the  Bob Sechrest Jr. Central Christmas Tournament.  Festus will face #4 Arcadia Valley in the opening round, the day after Christmas at 11:30am.
